Jade at Gold Creek Pond
On a cold, wet, PNW weekend, many people took refuge in the local movie theater to catch the new Star Wars movie. It turns out that the real show wasn't taking place in a galaxy far, far away, but just a little ways down interstate 90 from Seattle. Gold Creek Pond has long been a favorite locale for photographers, and today, the scenery did not disappoint one bit.
Despite near freezing temperatures, Jade Snider was extraordinarily wonderful to work with. Before I get too far ahead of myself, I really need to thank my good friend Sarah Gonia for organizing the shoot today. The gorgeous flowers were from A Moment In Time Floral Design while hair was styled by Anne Snider.
Jade has been modeling for several years, and plans to use it as a stepping stone to get into acting, which is one of her real passions. Her ease and comfort in front of a camera should make for an easier transition from still photography to motion pictures. Never one to stop pushing herself, she's well versed in several languages and is currently studying to become a nurse practitioner. I really hope our paths cross again and we have the opportunity to work together again, but no matter what, keep an eye out for her because she's going places.
This was my first trip to Gold Creek Pond. Even though I've lived in the area for quite some time, I had just never made it out here. The location was quiet and intimate, nestled in a valley between the mountains. Just like many of the other locations along the I-90 corridor (Rattlesnake Lake, Franklin Falls, etc.), this is a place that should be visited repeatedly, especially when the seasons change. Wishing you all happy holidays and a Merry Christmas! Until next time :)
